In France, the 1st foal by UK-bred & based multiple Gr1-winning 5YO stallion & NZ Westbury Stud shuttler Makfi (Dubawi-Dhelaal, by Green Desert) is a colt out of Raisonable (a half-sister to Gr1-placed Legerete) born at Haras des Monceaux, reported racingpost.com. Makfi is standing his 2nd season this year at Tweenhills Stud in England for £25,000 (A$37,500); his 2nd book of mares Juddmonte's multiple Gr1-winning filly Banks Hill (a full-sister to Dansili, Champs Élysees & Cacique) as well as other top-level winners Frizzante & Majestic Roi. On the track, Makfi won 2010's English Gr1 2000 Guineas, French Gr1 Jacques Le Marois & French Gr3 Prix Djebel to finish 2010 as 2nd top-rated horse (at 128) on the world rankings from the International Federation Of Horseracing Authorities.
